Excuse me, I'm trying to read!

"My 2 year old daughter and I have loved reading this book together since she was 1 years old, it's one of those books she pulls out and wants to read over and over again! This wonderful story will take you and your child on an adventure through the African landscape and it's wildlife. My daughter loves to say the lines of the girl "excuse me, I'm trying to read" making this a fun read for both of us!" Jamie Borland

"Excuse Me, I'm Trying to Read!, is a charming book children, will ask to read over and over again. The simple yet engaging text and delightful illustrations are just perfect for younger children. The repeated text makes it easy for emerging readers to practice their newly acquired reading skills. The cute phrase of `Excuse Me' allows children the chance to easily include drama in their oral reading. I'm a teacher and used the book with both my second and fourth grade students. The second graders enjoyed writing and illustrating their own pages using the format of the author and including their favorite animals. Fourth graders enjoyed replicating the style of the book and exploring their own themes, such as `Excuse Me, I'm trying to Do My Homework.' I've read the book to many diverse groups of students and it is always a hit. I highly recommend this book as a teacher read aloud or as an addition to a classroom library" Meg Wall

"This is a small, slim paperback book that is so cute and filled with interesting recipes. Chapters are Soups & Starters, Salads, Fish, Mains, Poultry, Side Dishes, Desserts and Baking. Including the index, the book is only 80 pages long, but what they pack in the 80 pages! I love the illustrations and the tidbits of information and history on the recipes...There is much to sample in this little book, and I definitely recommend it!
I received a copy of this book from International Publishers Marketing, Inc for Alison & Busby Ltd. for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own." Sandra Lassiter
"The art of an experienced cook and talented illustrator are here combined in a book that stimulates one to try these original recipes while delighting the eye with witty, charmingly naive watercolours. Lehla Eldridge has tapped another cluster of talents to produce this happy product so successfully.
A great present, we bought four for the family - but in Cape Town, where the price is a realistic £10!"
